Portchester Pétanque Club

This year we will be supporting 4Louis Charity.  Read Graham and Courtney Galton's story:

Hello All,

I am taking part in the London Landmark half marathon on 24th March 2019. I am proud to say I will be a member of Team 4louis. 4louis are a wonderful charity, they provide support to families who are going through or suffered from miscarriage, still born or baby loss.

4louis provide useful tools, equipment and training free of charge to hospital units, hospices and other professionals who sadly have the job of comforting grieving families who suffer a miscarriage, Stillbirth Neonatal or child death.

As you know, me and Courtney lost our little Angel, Eden, 17 weeks into pregnancy. It was the worst experience of our lives and unfortunately other people will have to suffer this. That’s why I am doing all I can to help other families going through this to make sure they get the care that we received. 4Louis amongst other things provide Memory Boxes. We received one of these boxes. It contained lots of little memertos, including hand and feet prints, photographs a cuddly toy amongst several other little gifts. Although it might seem strange to some, to us it helped immensely and so comforting to know that Eden was treated with such love and respect.

It costs £30 for a memory box. I would love to be able to raise as much money as possible to help sponsor some memory boxes and provide just that little bit of comfort to families going through what we had to go through.

Thank you for taking the time to read :)

And from our own Andy Barron: Given how close we came to losing our Eden its a cause i think is well worth supporting and would like to suggest that this year the club's charity donations go this charity through Graham's fund raising page
